MERCHANT SHIPPING (PREVENTION OF POLLUTION) (LIMITS) REGULATIONS 2020

The Minister responsible for Maritime Administration, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 123(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 2002, makes the following Regulations:

Citation

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution) (Limits) Regulations 2020.

PART XII — of Convention, to apply to territorial waters and EEZ

2 The area of sea defined as the territorial waters and Exclusive Economic Zone of Bermuda are prescribed as areas within which the jurisdiction and rights of Bermuda are exercisable in accordance with Part XII of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982, for the protection and preservation of the marine environment.

Revocation

3 The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution) (Limits) Regulations 2004 are revoked.
