MOTOR TAXI (APPROVED TAXI METER) (CABMAN MDT) ORDER 2025

The Minister responsible for transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by regulation 8(1) of the Motor Taxi Regulations 1952, makes the following Order:

Short title

1 This Order may be cited as the Motor Taxi (Approved Taxi Meter) (Cabman MDT) Order 2025.

Instrument approved

2 The Cabman MDT, an all-in-one on-board taxi meter being an instrument of a kind that is designed to keep track of the daily operations of a motor taxi, is approved as suitable for the purposes of section 35B(1A) of the Motor Car Act 1951.
