AMERICA’S CUP CONCESSION (TEAM NEW ZEALAND) ORDER 2016

WHEREAS the Team Manager of the America’s Cup Challenger Emirates Team New Zealand has by written application dated 4 February 2016 applied for an America’s Cup concession order under section 14 of the America’s Cup Act 2015; AND WHEREAS the Minister responsible for the America’s Cup has determined, in accordance with section 15 of the America’s Cup Act 2015, that granting the application is necessary for the proper conduct and operation of the Bermuda Events and in the best interests of Bermuda; The Minister responsible for the America’s Cup, in exercise of the power conferred by section 15 of the America’s Cup Act 2015, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the America’s Cup Concession (Team New Zealand) Order 2016.

Interpretation

2 In this Order, “Team New Zealand” means Team New Zealand (Bermuda) Ltd, a company incorporated in Bermuda on 18 January 2016 and licensed to carry on business in connection with its sailing team’s challenge for the 35th America’s Cup.

Exemptions under section 8 of the Act

3 Section 8 of the America’s Cup Act 2015 (employment) shall apply to Team New Zealand as it applies to ACEA.
