QUARANTINE (COVID-19) ORDER 2022

The Minister responsible for health, in exercise of the power conferred by section

9 of the Quarantine Act 2017, and after having consulted with the Chief Medical Officer, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Quarantine (COVID-19) Order 2022 Revocation Order 2022.

2. Revocation of the Quarantine (COVID-19) Order 2022 and Savings

(1) The Quarantine (COVID-19) Order 2022 is hereby revoked.

(2) The revocation of the Order referred to in paragraph (1) shall not have effect with respect to—

(a) any determination, designation or decision made during the period of operation of the Order by—

(i) the Quarantine Authority, or

(ii) a Public Health Officer, Health Officer or medical practitioner,

(b) the previous operation of the revoked Order; or

(c) anything done under or by virtue of or in pursuance of the revoked Order.

(3) All actions, investigations, suits or legal proceedings commenced under the revoked Order by or against the Ministry of Health shall be carried out or prosecuted by or against the Ministry of Health, and no such action, investigation, suit or legal proceedings shall abate or be affected by the revocation of the Order.

QUARANTINE (COVID-19) ORDER 2022 REVOCATION ORDER 2022

(4) For the avoidance of doubt, the revocation referred to in paragraph (1) shall not affect the prosecution of a person for an offence under the revoked Order which was committed before the revocation of the Order.
