ROAD TRAFFIC (APPROVED BREATH ANALYZING INSTRUMENT) ORDER 2019

The Minister responsible for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred in the definition of “approved breath analyzing instrument” under section 1 of the Road Traffic Act 1947, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Approved Breath Analyzing Instrument) Order 2019.

Approved instrument

2 The Intox EC/IR® II, an instrument designed to receive and make analysis of a sample of the breath of a person in order to measure the proportion of alcohol in the blood of that person, is approved as suitable for the purposes of sections 35C to 35H of the Road Traffic Act 1947.
