ROAD TRAFFIC (APPROVED BREATH TESTING DEVICE) ORDER 2018

The Minister of Transport, in exercise of the power conferred in the definition of “approved breath testing device” under section 1 of the Road Traffic Act 1947, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Approved Breath Testing Device) Order

2018.

Approved breath testing device

2 The Dräger Alcotest 5820 Alcohol Screening Device, being a device of a kind that is designed to receive and make an analysis of a sample of the breath of a person in order to indicate the presence of alcohol in the person’s blood, is approved as suitable for the purposes of section 35BA of the Road Traffic Act 1947.
