ROAD TRAFFIC (APPROVED CONTAINER) ORDER 2015

The Minister responsible for transport, in exercise of the power conferred in the definition of “approved container” under section 1 of the Road Traffic Act 1947, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Approved Container) Order 2015.

Approved container

2 An approved container for the purpose of receiving samples of blood, urine or other bodily substances under sections 35C to 35H of the Road Traffic Act 1947 is a specimen container that contains no less than 100 milligrams sodium fluoride together with 20 milligrams potassium oxalate in 10 millilitres of blood, urine or other bodily fluids and is designed to receive such samples for the purpose of alcohol and drug analyses.
