SPEED LIMIT FOR BOATS NOTICE 1993

[made by the Minister of Transport under section 10 of the Marine Board Act 1962 [title 22 item 3] and brought into operation on 12 February 1993]

ARRANGEMENT OF REGULATIONS

1 Citation and rescission

2 Speed limit

Citation

1 This Notice may be cited as the Speed Limit for Boats Notice

1993 and rescinds Government Notice No. 435 of 1987.

Speed limit

2 A five knot/no wake restriction shall apply to all boats when navigating the following areas:

(a) Paradise Lake - an area of water bounded by— Long Island Nellys Island Ports Island Beta Island Theta Island

(b) Mills Creek Fairylands Creek Riddells Bay Jews Bay Somerset Bridge Channel, the Scaur

1989 Revision 1 SPEED LIMIT FOR BOATS NOTICE 1993 and Ely's Harbour Watford Bridge Dockyard - North and South Basins Camber Bay, Watford Island Red Hole to Foot of the Lane Flatts Inlet The Narrows Channel, St. David's Dolly's Bay Clarence Cove Shelly Bay

(c) Ferry Reach - area between Richardson's Bay, the Swing Bridge and the ruins of the Severn Bridge

(d) Belmont - Musson Point - an area of water bounded by— Belmont Dock Island East of Godet's Passage Stake midway between Burnt Island and Salt Kettle Musson Point (Salt Lake Point) and the shoreline (Salt Kettle - Palm Reef - Darrell's Wharf - Belmont)
