WEST END DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION DESIGNATION OF LAND ORDER

The Minister of Planning and the Environment, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by subsection (2) of section 19 of the West End Development Corporation Act 1982, hereby makes the following Order:-

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the West End Development Corporation Designation of Land Order 1983.

Interpretation

2 In this Order— “the Act” means the West End Development Corporation Act 1982; “the map” means the map in the Schedule to this Order; “the scheduled area” means the area described in the Third Schedule to the Act.

Designation of land

3 All the land in the scheduled area, excepting the excepted parcels, is designated as designated land.

Excepted parcels

4 The excepted parcels referred to in paragraph 3 are the following five parcels of land, that is to say—

(1) Lefroy House;

(2) Boaz Island Nursery School;

(3) Casemates Prison;

(4) The Sally Port;

(5) The Water Catchment Area, being the parcels respectively marked by numbers, and circumscribed by dots, on the map. [Map omitted by virtue of 1989 : 64 s. 4(6)]

Commencement

5 This Order shall come into force on the twelfth day of January, 1983.
