BERMUDA NATIONAL PARKS (FEES) REGULATIONS 2018

BR 16 / 2018

The Minister responsible for parks, in exercise of the power conferred by section 25(1)(fa) of the Bermuda National Parks Act 1986, makes the following Regulations:

Citation

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Bermuda National Parks (Fees) Regulations

2018.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations— “Act” means the Bermuda National Parks Act 1986; “National Park System” shall be construed in accordance with the provisions of section 3 of the Act; and “year” means a calendar year.

Fees

3 The following fees set out in the Schedule, being fees not prescribed under the Government Fees Regulations 1976, are payable in relation to admittances to certain parks and provision of goods and services, and all fees received shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund—

SCHEDULE (Paragraph 3) Description Fee

(1) Rental of a portable toilet $200 per day within the National Parks System.

(2) Rental of ticket booth for a $100 per day private event within the National Parks System.

(3) Use of a parking attendant, $65 per hour park ranger, guide, lifeguard, or officer for a private event within or outside of the National Parks System (non- tour related).

(4) Rental of a bonfire pan for a $25 per day private event on any space within the National Parks System 11.1.

(5) Removal of an abandoned $100 item under section 14 of the Act.

(6) Storage of an abandoned item $20 per day under section 15 of the Act.

(7) Adult admission (16 years to $7

64 years of age) to Fort St. Catherine.

(8) Seniors admission (65 years $5 of age and above) to Fort St. Catherine.

(9) Children admission (5 years $0 and under) to Fort St. Catherine.

(10) Children admission (6 years $3 to 15 years of age) to Fort St. Catherine.

(11) Guided tour (for persons 16 $25 per person years of age and above) provided by the Government within the National Parks System.

(12) Purchase of a native and $7 endemic plant in a 1 gallon size pot (with a voucher from the Department of Planning).

(13) Purchase of a native and $35 endemic plant in a 3 gallon size pot (with a voucher from the Department of Planning).

(14) Purchase of a native and $150 endemic plant in a 15 gallon size pot (with a voucher from the Department of Planning).

(15) Purchase of a native and $10 endemic plant in a 1 gallon size pot (without a voucher from the Department of Planning).

(16) Purchase of a native and $50 endemic plant in a 3 gallon size pot (without a voucher from the Department of Planning).

(17) Purchase of a native and $200 endemic plant in a 15 gallon size pot (without a voucher from the Department of Planning).

(18) Rental of a small decorative $75 per day plant pot arrangement.

(19) Rental of a medium $100 per day decorative plant pot arrangement.

(20) Rental of a large decorative $150 per day plant pot arrangement.

(21) Purchase of any special plant $50 – $400 per foot in a 15 gallon size pot (without a voucher from the Department of Planning), price to be based on type of plant and maturity.

(22) Purchase of a small size $10 vegetable bundle.

(23) Purchase of a medium size $20 vegetable bundle.

(24) Purchase of a large size $35 vegetable bundle.

Commencement

4 These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 April, 2018
