BUILDING CODE 1972

[made under section 37 of the Development and Planning Act 1965 [repealed] and brought into operation on 2 September 1972 and subsequently saved in operation under section 25 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1982 [title 18 item 2A] since 2 April 1984] [Building Code 1972, other than regulations 75, 76 and 77 repealed by BR 40/1991 effective 30 December 1991]

Plumbing and Drainage

75 All plumbing and drainage works and fittings shall comply with the requirements of the Plumbing and Drainage Regulations 1965 [title

11 item 1(m)] or any Regulations amending or replacing those Regulations.

Water Storage

76 All water storage works and fittings shall comply with the requirements of the Public Health (Water Storage) Regulations 1951 [title

11 item 1(k)], or any Regulations amending or replacing those Regulations.

Additional Requirements

77 In addition to the requirements of the above mentioned Regulations, no soil, waste, vent or drainage pipe shall be positioned so as to run through, over or in the top of any water storage tank to which the Public Health (Water Storage) Regulations 1951 [title 11 item 1(k)] apply.
