COMMISSIONERS FOR OATHS AND NOTARIES PUBLIC (ELECTRONIC NOTARIZATION) (VALIDATION) RULES 2023

The Chief Justice, in exercise of the power conferred by section 12 of the Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public Act 1972, makes the following Rules:
Citation
1 These Rules may be cited as the Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public (Electronic Notarization) (Validation) Rules 2023.
Interpretation
2 In these Rules, "notary public" means a person enrolled as a notary public under the Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public Act 1972.
Validation
3 The duties and functions purportedly performed or carried out under the Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public (Electronic Notarization) Rules 2021 by a notary public or under the instructions of a notary public from 1 October 2023 up to and including 24 October 2023, shall be deemed validly performed and carried out, provided such duties and functions were performed and carried out in accordance with those Rules.
