Form of notarial seal

1 The form of seal to be used for the purposes of section 9 of the Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public Act 1972 [title 8 item 22] shall be as follows—

(a) the seal shall be not less than 1 ½ inches in diameter;

(b) in the middle of the seal there shall be the words "NOTARY PUBLIC";

(c) around the edge of the seal shall be the name of the notary public and the word "BERMUDA".

Enrolment of a notary public

2 A fee of $200 shall be paid upon the enrolment of a notary public.

Fees which may be charged for notarial acts

3 The fees specified in the second column of Part I of the Schedule may be charged for the notarial acts specified in the first column thereof.

Fees which may be charged by Commissioners of Oaths

4 The fees specified in the second column of Part II of the Schedule may be charged by Commissioners of Oaths for the acts specified in the first column thereof.

SCHEDULE

PART I — Fees Chargeable for Notarial Acts

1 For any protest, if not exceeding one folio, filing the original and furnishing one certified copy if required (this is to be exclusive of any fee for drawing, if required, the body of the protest): $12.00

2 If the protest exceeds one folio, for every additional folio or part thereof: $4.00

3 For noting a foreign bill: $20.00

4 For administering an oath or receiving a declaration or affirmation, with or without attestation of signature: $20.00

5 For attesting a signature, or administering an oath, or receiving a declaration or affirmation for the purpose of obtaining relief from tax: $20.00

6 For every exhibit thereto: $5.00

7 For each signature attested by a notary public in any document not otherwise provided for: $20.00

8 For certifying to a copy of any document or any part of a document, per folio: $4.00

9 For affixing notary public seal to a document, packet or article whether or not a signature

is also required $20.00

10 Any other notarial act not specified above: $20.00

PART II — Fees which may be Charged by Commissioners for Oaths

1 For taking an affidavit or declaration: $2.00

2 For every exhibit to an affidavit or declaration: $5.00

3 For attending to administer an oath or affirmation, or to take a declaration elsewhere than at the office or place of business of the Commissioner for Oaths: $5.00
