CUSTOMS DUTY (BERMUDA CANCER AND HEALTH CENTRE)

The Minister of Finance, in exercise of the power conferred by section 2 of the Customs Duty (Special Remission) Act 1951, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Customs Duty (Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre) Remission Order 2016.

Exempted person

2 The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre and their agents are exempted persons for the purpose of this Order and the Customs Duty (Special Remission) Act 1951.

Exemption from duty

3 The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre and their agents are completely exempted from import duty in respect of a linear particle accelerator (LINAC) device, its ancillary equipment, systems, applications and parts; building materials; furnishings; fixtures; and fittings.

Qualifying goods

4 Qualifying goods must be imported and used only for providing radiation therapy services or to construct, fit out, finish, operate, maintain or repair the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre radiation vault, its equipment and systems.

5. Commencement and expiration

(1) This Order shall be deemed to have come into effect on 20 June 2016.

(2) This Order expires on 20 June 2021.
