CUSTOMS TARIFF (APPROVED BUSINESSES - CPC 4229) NOTICE 2019

BR 44 / 2019

The Minister of Finance, in exercise of the power conferred by customs procedure code 4229 of the Fifth Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act 1970, issues the following Notice:

Citation

1 This Notice may be cited as the Customs Tariff (Approved Businesses - CPC 4229) Notice 2019. [Paragraph 1 and Title amended by 2021 : 10 s. 3 effective 1 April 2021]

Interpretation

2 In this Notice, “customs procedure code” or “CPC” has the meaning given in section 1 of the Customs Tariff Act 1970.

Approved businesses

3 The following businesses listed in the first column are approved businesses under CPC 4229 of the Fifth Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act 1970 in respect of the qualifying goods in the corresponding second column—

(1) Mason and Associates Ltd. goods for the manufacture of—

(i) protective exterior fabric panels for windows and doors

(ii) dry fogging equipment

(2) Island Potions Ltd. goods for the manufacture and packaging of hair products

(21) any business that holds a valid licence goods of heading 17.01 of the First granted by the Chief Environmental Health Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act Officer under the Public Health (Food) 1970 (cane or beet sugar and Regulations 1950 to operate— chemically pure sucrose, in solid

(i) a home victualling manufactory or form) bakery; or

(ii) an itinerant restaurant with a stand that cannot be propelled or drawn

(22) Dove and Butterfly goods for the manufacture and packaging of cosmetic or toilet preparations bearing the trade name "Dove and Butterfly".

(23) Bermuda Paper Company Ltd. machinery, and raw materials, and packaging used in the manufacture of paper products.

(24) Dragon Honey Bermuda raw materials, machinery and equipment for the manufacture and packaging of products bearing the trade name "Dragon Honey Bermuda".

(25) TriniFlavor Ltd. goods for the manufacture and packaging of beverages bearing the trade name “TriniFlavor Ltd."

(26) Ace Brewing Co. Ltd. machinery, equipment, tools, materials and supplies for use only in manufacturing and packaging fermented beverages

(27) Prestige Cocktails Limited machinery, equipment, tools, materials and supplies (except foods of tariff code 2207.100 and heading 22.08) for use only in manufacturing and packaging fermented beverages

(28) Bermuda Paint Company Limited resin and chemicals

4 The Customs Tariff (Approved Businesses) Notice 2017 is revoked.
