The Minister responsible for marine and ports services, in exercise of the power conferred by section 12(1)(b) of the Marine and Ports Services Act 2021, issues the following Notice:
Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Marine and Ports Services (Mariners) (The St. George’s New Year’s Drone Show) Notice 2025.
St. George’s New Year’s Drone Show
2 A St. George’s New Year’s drone show (“the event”) will take place within St. George’s Harbour on Thursday, 1 January 2026 between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.
Closure of area of St. George’s Harbour
3 The area of water of St. George’s Harbour (indicated in the Schedule) on the southern side of Ordnance Island out to approximately 100 feet will be closed to marine traffic during the event.
Offence
4 It is an offence under section 12(5) of the Marine and Ports Services Act 2021 for a mariner, pilot or boatman to fail to observe the requirements of this Notice, punishable on summary conviction in accordance with section 84 of that Act.
