DELEGATION OF POWERS NOTICE 1991

[made under section 71(3) of the Constitution [title 2 item 1] and section 27(1) of the Interpretation Act 1951 [title 1 item 1] and brought into operation on 1 November 1991]

The Attorney General hereby authorises and deputes the Solicitor General, the Senior Crown Counsel and any Crown Counsel to exercise on his behalf any of the following powers vested in him by any provision of law in force in Bermuda, that is to say⎯

(a) the power to consent to the prosecution of any person for an offence triable summarily;

(b) the power to certify any charge for an indictable offence to be a fit subject for trial upon indictment; Provided that all such powers shall be exercised subject to any general or special directions issued by the Attorney General.
