THE DIPLOMATIC PRIVILEGES (NASA DIRECTOR) ORDER
[made under section 4 of the Diplomatic Privileges Act 1980 [title 6 item 5] and brought into operation on 11 October 1996]
Citation
1 This Order may be cited as the Diplomatic Privileges (NASA Director) Order 1996.
Interpretation
2 In this Order— "NASA" means the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States of America; "NASA Director" means the person, being a citizen of the United States of America, employed by NASA to manage the NASA Station in Bermuda in connection with the Agreement dated
15 March 1961 and made between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the United Kingdom for the establishment and operation of a Space Vehicle Tracking and Communication Station in Bermuda.
Declaration as diplomatic agents
3 The NASA Director is a diplomatic agent as respects the importation into Bermuda, under Article 36.1(b) of the Convention, of articles of the following description, namely, articles for his personal use or the personal use of members of his family forming part of his household.
