DIPLOMATIC PRIVILEGES (PRECLEARANCE OFFICIALS) ORDER 1996

[made under section 4 of the Diplomatic Privileges Act 1980 and brought into operation on 11 October 1996]
Citation
1 This Order may be cited as the Diplomatic Privileges (Preclearance Officials) Order
1996.
Interpretation
2 In this Order— “preclearance officials” means all persons, being citizens of the United States of America, employed in Bermuda by the Government of the United States of America in connection with the Agreement dated 15 January 1974 and made between that Government and the Government of Bermuda relating to Preclearance.
Declaration and description and limitation
3 Preclearance officials are declared to be diplomatic agents as respects the enjoyment by them, and members of their families forming part of their respective households, of the immunities, exemptions and privileges set out in Articles 29 and 30, and
32 to 36.1 inclusive of the Convention.
Revocation of BR 66/1980
4 The Diplomatic Privileges (Preclearance Officials) Order 1980 is revoked.
