The Minister responsible for energy, in exercise of the power conferred by section 66(6) of the Electricity Act 2016, makes the following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Electricity Act 2016 (Transitional Period Extension) (No. 2) Order 2017.

Transitional period extension

2 The transitional period of six months specified in section 66 of the Electricity Act 2016, which was extended for a further six-month period by the Electricity Act 2016 (Transitional Period Extension) Order 2017 and is due to expire on 27 October 2017, shall be extended for a further period of 2 months until 27 December 2017 to enable compliance by the persons to whom section 66 applies; and accordingly references in that section to “six months” shall be read as if they specified “fourteen months”.
