ELECTRONIC MONITORING (APPROVED INSTRUMENTS) ORDER 2023

The Minister responsible for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred by section 4(7A) of the Bail Act 2005, makes the following Order:
Citation
1 This Order may be cited as the Electronic Monitoring (Approved Instruments) Order 2023.
Approved instruments
2 The Attenti TD4 and the Attenti AT1 are wearable miniature tracking devices that are suitable for monitoring the movements and locations of a person on whom they are fitted, and are hereby approved as suitable for the purposes of sections 4 and 5A of the Bail Act 2005.
3. Validation
(1) Prior to the coming into operation of this Order, any order made by any Court under the Electronic Monitoring (Approved Instrument) Order 2012, in respect of any instrument which was not included as an approved instrument under that Order but was nonetheless an instrument suitable for monitoring the movements and locations of a person on whom the instrument was fitted, is hereby validated and deemed to have been lawfully made.
(2) In this paragraph, “Court” has the meaning given in the Bail Act 2005.
Revocation
4 The Electronic Monitoring (Approved Instrument) Order 2012 is hereby revoked.
