THE FIRE SERVICES (VOLUNTEER FIRE OFFICERS) (REMUNERATION AND ALLOWANCES) REGULATIONS 1987

[made under section 17(1) of the Fire Services Act [title 10 item 15] and brought into operation on 5 June 1987]

ARRANGEMENT OF REGULATIONS

1 Citation

2 Remuneration payable to volunteer fire officers

3 Remuneration to be paid at end of each calendar year

Citation

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Fire Services (Volunteer Fire Officers) (Remuneration and Allowances) Regulations 1987.

2. Remuneration payable to volunteer fire officers

(1) Subject to these Regulations, the remuneration payable to a volunteer fire officer shall be as follows—

(a) For attendance at a fire drill session $10.00;

(b) For call-out to a fire $17.00

(2) A volunteer fire officer shall only be eligible to be paid remuneration for call-out to a fire if he has attended not less than seventy-five per centum of the fire drill sessions scheduled, unless the Chief Fire Officer in his discretion directs otherwise.

Remuneration to be paid at end of each calendar year

3 Any remuneration payable under regulation 2 shall be paid once annually at the end of each calendar year.
