BERMUDA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT
SR&O 5/1956
[made under section 5 of the Judgments Extension Act 1923 [repealed] and by virtue of section 11 of the Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1958 [title 8 item 71] having effect as if made under the Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1958] WHEREAS by section 5 (1) of the Judgments Extension Act 1923 it is enacted that where the Governor is satisfied that reciprocal provisions have been made by the Legislature of any part of Her Majesty's Dominions outside the United Kingdom for the enforcement within that part of Her Dominions of judgments obtained in the Supreme Court of Bermuda, the Governor may by Order declare that the said Act shall extend to judgment obtained in a Superior Court in that part of Her Majesty's Dominions in like manner as it extends to judgments obtained in a Superior Court in United Kingdom and on any such Order being made the said Act shall extend accordingly. AND WHEREAS the Governor is satisfied that the several Legislature of the parts of Her Majesty's Dominions outside the United Kingdom hereinafter mentioned have made reciprocal provision for the enforcement within those parts of judgments obtained in the Supreme Court of Bermuda: NOW THEREFORE His Excellency the Governor in exercise of the powers him hereunto enabling HEREBY ORDERS THAT—
1 The Judgments (Reciprocal Enforcement) Act 1958 [title 8 item 71] shall extend to judgments obtained in the several Superior Courts of the parts of Majesty's Dominions hereunder mentioned,
