MARINE AND PORTS AUTHORITY (PROHIBITED AREAS FOR MOORING) NOTICE 1993
[made under regulation 6(1) of the Marine and Ports Authority (Moorings) Regulations 1967 and brought into operation on 26 November 1993]
Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Marine and Ports Authority (Prohibited Areas for Mooring) Notice 1993.
2. Designated areas
(1) Except as provided in subparagraph (2), the following areas are designated areas in which no moorings may be put down or left down or in which no boat may be moored:
(a) Long Bay, Sandys Parish;
(b) King's Point (Mangrove Bay), Sandys Parish;
(c) Morgan's Island and Bethel Island, Sandys Parish;
(d) Gilbert Beach (Great Sound), Sandy's Parish;
(e) All of South Shore except—
(i) Boat Bay, Southampton;
(ii) Sinky Bay, Southampton;
(iii) East Whale Bay, Southampton;
(iv) Hungry Bay, Paget;

(v) Devonshire Bay, Devonshire;
(vi) Doe Bay, Devonshire;
(f) Frick's Point to Castle roads to Charles Island to Castle Island to Nonsuch Island to Well Bay, St. George's Parish;
(g) Annie's Bay to Ruth's Bay, St. George's Parish;
(h) Cooper's Island Area, St. George's Parish;
(i) Horseshoe Island to Higg's Island to Paget Island, St. George's Parish;
(j) Whale Bone Bay, St. George's Parish
(k) Shelly Bay, Hamilton Parish;
(l) Rabbit Island to Trunk Island, Hamilton Parish;
(m) Gibbet's Island, Smith's parish
(n) Clarence Cove to Deep Bay, Pembroke Parish;
(o) Great Sound Inland Islands, Grace Island to Pearl Island to Two Rock South to Timlin's Narrows West to North Shore Darrell's Island to North Shore Bert's Island to Grace Island;
(p) From the northwest corner of Great Oswego Island to the south eastern tip of Great Oswego Island, a line to the south eastern corner of Little Oswego Island, northerly to the northern end of Little Oswego Island, north east to Ballast Point Stakes, north to southern stake at Governor's Island, west to Smith's Island from southern corner of Smallpox Bay to north west corner of Great Oswego Island and all waters enclosed by the above.
(2) Moorings of owners of properties which are located on the waterfront and moorings allocated for the specific use of certain boats and small craft during a storm or hurricane, in any of the areas specified in subparagraph (1) are not prohibited by this Notice.
