MARINE AND PORTS AUTHORITY (SHIPS WHARFAGE) REGULATIONS 1969
[made under section 76 of the Marine Board Act 1962 and brought into operation on 15 August 1969 by GN 321/1969]

Requirement to pay
1 Ship wharfage shall be payable pursuant to these Regulations in respect of every ship at any dock or shore owned or operated by the Government.
2. Rate
(1) Ship wharfage payable pursuant to these Regulations in respect of a ship at any dock or shore owned or operated by the Government shall be at the rate of $132 per day or part thereof up to 80 metres length overall or part thereof and $1.65 per metre or part thereof in excess of 80 metres: Provided that after any twenty-four hour period has been completed a further day will not be charged for unless a two hour excess period has been exceeded.

(2) The minimum daily ship wharfage payable on a ship shall be $132.
3. Payment
(1) The ship wharfage shall be payable by the owner, master or agent of the ship on demand of the Director of Marine and Ports Services or of any person authorized by him in writing to receive the same.
(2) The ship wharfage for each day or part of a day shall, if so demanded as hereinbefore provided, be payable during the day or part of a day on which the demand is made.
