MARINE BOARD (PILOTAGE) (EXCEPTED SHIPS) REGULATIONS 1962

[made under sections 58 and 103 of the Board of Trade Act 1930 [repealed] and brought into operation on 29 August 1938]

[now deemed to have been made under the Marine Board Act 1962]

ARRANGEMENT OF REGULATIONS

1 Interpretation

2 Permit to pilot excepted ship if not master or owner

3 Offences

Interpretation

1 In these Regulations— "excepted ship" means a ship excepted from compulsory pilotage by reason of the operation of section 48 of the Marine Board Act 1962 [title 22 item 3].

Permit to pilot excepted ship if not master or owner

2 No person, other than the master or owner of an excepted ship, shall pilot or offer or attempt to pilot such excepted ship (not being then in danger or distress) within the waters of Bermuda, without being in possession of a permit granted by the Minister or by the Pilot Warden.

Offences

3 Any contravention of regulation 2 shall render the offender liable to the penalties provided by section 112 of the Marine Board Act 1962.
