MARINE BOARD (SEABORNE SERVICES) REGULATIONS 2021

BR 27 / 2021

The Minister responsible for marine and ports services, in exercise of the power conferred by section 97 of the Marine Board Act 1962, makes the following Regulations:

Citation

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Marine Board (Seaborne Services) Regulations 2021.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations, “Seaborne Services” means services performed by the Minister under section 97 of the Marine Board Act 1962.

Rate of Dues

3 Dues payable in respect of Seaborne Services shall be calculated as set out in the

Schedule — .

Revocation

4 The Marine Board (Seaborne Services) Regulations 2013 are revoked.

Commencement

5 These Regulations shall come into force on 1 April 2021.

SCHEDULE

(regulation 3)

PART I — VESSELS

PART II — TUGS

Berthing or Unberthing $1,458 per movement Small tugs and large tugs $887 per hour

PART III — TENDER SERVICE

Per round trip to cruise vessels (Dockyard) $1,405 Per round trip to cruise vessels (at anchor) $1,458 Charter $924 per hour, subject to a minimum of four hours

PART IV — OFFSHORE TOWAGE, SALVAGE OR CHARTER

Tug $1,464 per hour Tender $1,338 per hour Pilot Boat $730 per hour Buoy Tender $822 per hour

Notes

1 Tender Service to cruise ships is subject to a minimum of—

(a) three round trips for the first twelve hour period; and

(b) five round trips in any twenty-four hour period.

2 Except in the case of dues specified in Part IV of the Schedule, all charges are subject to a 100 per cent surcharge—

(a) on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays; and

(b) between 1630 hours and 0800 hours on normal working days.
