MARRIAGE (ALTERNATIVE APPROVED LOCATIONS) REGULATIONS 2016

The Minister responsible for the Registry General, in exercise of the power conferred by section 24 of the Marriage Act 1944, makes the following Regulations:

Citation

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Marriage (Alternative Approved Locations) Regulations 2016.

Alternative approved locations

2 For the purposes of section 24(1)(a)(ii) of the Marriage Act 1944, the parties specified in the certificate or special licence may contract marriage in the presence of the Registrar at the following alternative approved locations —
